Installation
acetab is available on the Chrome Web Store and works on all Chromium-based browsers.
Chrome Installation
- Visit the Chrome Web Store
- Click “Add to Chrome”
- Confirm by clicking “Add extension”
- Open a new tab to see your acetab dashboard!
Microsoft Edge
acetab also works on Microsoft Edge:
- Visit the Chrome Web Store in Edge
- Click “Allow extensions from other stores” if prompted
- Click “Add to Chrome”
- Open a new tab
Brave Browser
Brave is fully compatible:
- Visit the Chrome Web Store in Brave
- Click “Add to Chrome”
- Done!
Permissions Explained
When you install acetab, it requests certain permissions:

| Storage | Save your dashboard configuration locally |
| Bookmarks | Display your bookmarks in the Bookmarks widget (optional) |
| Alarms | Schedule automatic widget updates (RSS, weather, stocks) |
Privacy Note: All your data stays on your device. We never send your personal information to external servers.
After Installation
Once installed, acetab will automatically replace your new tab page. You’ll see:
- A default dashboard with basic widgets
- The screen switcher on the left
- Edit mode button in the bottom corner
